Books & eBooks Online
A bookshop e-commerce platform has different requirements from a typical online store. It needs to manage a large and constantly changing catalogue, support both physical and digital products, provide a smooth checkout experience and ensure every order follows the right fulfilment process.
This was the goal behind our work with MyBookWave.

The challenge
MyBookWave is a Greek online bookstore offering printed books and eBooks. The platform needed to support a large product catalogue, distinct fulfilment processes for physical and digital products, and a reliable customer journey from product discovery to checkout.
For eBooks, the key requirement was secure digital fulfilment and a proper integration with Adobe Content Server technology.
Our approach
8vision developed and supported MyBookWave as a complete WooCommerce e-commerce platform, built on WordPress and the WoodMart theme.
The project combined e-commerce functionality, supplier catalogue imports, separate management of printed and digital books, and the tracking infrastructure needed to understand where orders originate and how users interact with the store before purchasing.
What we delivered
- WordPress and WooCommerce e-commerce development
- Product structure for printed books and eBooks
- XML-based book imports and supplier catalogue management
- Adobe Content Server integration for secure eBook fulfilment
- Custom digital fulfilment flow using
.acsmfiles - Checkout configuration and payment-method support
- Cash-on-delivery support and checkout-flow improvements
- Email automation and core legal/GDPR setup
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google for WooCommerce infrastructure
- Order-attribution tracking, including source, referrer, UTM campaign and landing page data
- Product-image preparation for Facebook Catalogue use
- Media-file auditing and management, prioritising the protection of active product images and catalogue assets
Physical and digital books in one platform
The core challenge was bringing two different sales models together in one seamless store.
Printed books require accurate order and delivery management, while eBooks require secure and immediate digital fulfilment. Through the Adobe ACS integration, an eBook purchase follows a specialised content-delivery process rather than being handled as a simple downloadable file.
At the same time, XML imports help the store manage a dynamic book catalogue without requiring manual entry for every product.
The value for MyBookWave
MyBookWave gained a scalable e-commerce foundation designed around the real operational needs of a modern online bookstore.
The platform connects WooCommerce, catalogue integrations, eBook fulfilment and measurement infrastructure, helping the business manage products, orders and future growth activity more effectively.
This project reflects 8vision’s approach to e-commerce: we build more than attractive online stores. We connect products, automations, third-party platforms and data into a functional digital growth system.
